I refer to an article titled “The Papuans’ (il)legitimate battle for independence” (The Jakarta Post, Sept. 5, p. 6) and various comments on it.
What about when the Free Papua Organization (OPM) members killed civilian and military or police personnel? Where are the human rights for them? OPM also abuse human rights.
All people have human rights you know including members of the military/police.
So human rights organizations have to look at both sides so that justice prevails and another thing, the Indonesian government is trying to improve the education, health and welfare of the people and infrastructure and equal rights for all native Papuan people.Letter: Human rights are for all
